Golf Fitness That Builds the Body Behind Your Swing

Learn more about OGP

Golf-specific strength & conditioning.

Backed by TPI assessment, taught by certified specialists.

You've taken lessons. You've practiced at the range. But your swing still doesn't feel right. Your back hurts after 12 holes. You've lost distance off the tee. You're leaving strokes on the course, and you don't know why.

The missing piece might not be your technique. It might be your golf fitness.

At OGP in Hong Kong, our Strength & Conditioning (S&C) specialists work alongside your golf coach here to build the physical foundation for a better swing — more power, better control, fewer injuries, and longer enjoyment of the game.

 Our Team

Why Golf Fitness Matters

Golf Is a Sport. Train Like One. That's Golf Fitness.

Contrary to popular belief, golf involves a good amount of physical activity. A round of golf combines the use of our ATP and aerobic systems for energy. Golf fitness training is valuable, no matter how long you've been in the game.

Here's why golf fitness can benefit your game:

Injury Prevention & Game Longevity

Golf recruits muscles across the entire body. Lack of mobility, strength, and stability can contribute to swing characteristics that increase injury risk. Daily, we see clients with lower back, wrist, elbow, and shoulder issues.

Increased Clubhead Speed

Speed comes from a good kinematic sequence: lower body first, trunk second, arms third, club last. Any weakness in each segment becomes a limitation to your speed potential.

Better Control

The golf swing is fast. The less joint instability, the better control and coordination we have of our body, the better we can make swing changes and feel the swing — leading to better club control on course.

Reduced Fatigue

Fatigue prevention is key to maintaining technique through 18 holes. Golf fitness gives you the stamina to finish strong, not just survive.

Our Approach

Assess. Personalise. Build. Then Add Speed.

TPI Assessment

TPI Assessment: Know Your Golf Fitness Level

We start with a full TPI screening. 16 movements that reveal exactly what your body can and cannot do — and how it affects your swing.

Personalisation

Your training is fully tailored to the results of your assessment, your time, and your goals.

Golf Fundamental Training

Build Fundamentals

First, we fix what's missing — mobility where you're tight, stability where you're weak. You can't add speed on a broken foundation.

Golf Speed training

Build Speed

Once your body moves correctly, we layer on power and speed. This is where distance gains happen — safely and sustainably.

Frequently asked questions

Here are some common questions about our golf fitness lessons.

TPI (Titleist Performance Institute) is the world's leading educational organization dedicated to the study of how the human body functions in relation to the golf swing. A TPI assessment is a 60-minute screening that evaluates your mobility, stability, balance, and strength through 16 specific movements. The results show exactly what physical limitations may be affecting your swing — and how to fix them.

Absolutely not. Our clients range from complete beginners to elite athletes. Golf fitness starts where you are — and builds from there. Whether you've never stepped into a gym or you're a regular exerciser, we meet you at your current level.
Yes. Injury prevention is just one benefit of golf fitness. Most of our clients come for power gains, distance increases, and fatigue reduction — not because something hurts. If you want to hit the ball farther and stay consistent through 18 holes, golf fitness is for you.

Regular personal training builds general fitness or physique. Golf S&C builds movements specific to the golf swing — rotation, ground force, hip mobility, core stability, and kinetic chain sequencing. Our specialists understand the golf swing, not just the gym. Every exercise we give you has a direct connection to something you do on the course.

Yes. Some clients only want golf fitness training. However, the best results come from combining both — your S&C specialist and golf coach work from the same plan. Your coach identifies the swing fault. Your S&C specialist identifies why your body couldn't perform it. Together, they fix both.
It depends on your goals, we recommend a minimum of 2 sessions per week. However, we will build a plan that fits your schedule and your goals.
Just comfortable athletic clothing and training shoes. Golf shoes are not needed for S&C sessions. If you have any existing injuries or medical conditions, please let us know in advance.

Yes. Speed comes from a good kinematic sequence: lower body first, trunk second, arms third, club last. Any weakness in each segment becomes a limitation to your speed potential. By improving your ground force reaction, rotational power, and core stability, you will generate more clubhead speed — without changing your swing technique.

In many cases, yes. Lower back pain in golfers is often caused by tight hips, weak glutes, or poor core stability. A TPI assessment will identify the root cause. Your specialist will give you specific exercises to address it. Many golfers report significant pain reduction within 2-4 weeks of following their program.
